An invitation from David Bellamy, President of Plantlife
This Code of Practice has been developed to encourage suppliers of native flora to be up front about what they are selling and to keep proper records on the origin of their stock. Adoption of the Code by suppliers will allow plant buyers to know whether the flora they buy is native and where it has come from. It will also give assurance that the flora has been collected or grown without damaging wild plants.
If you are a garden center, a specialist grower of native plants, a seed house or any other person or organisation that sells native flora - I commend this Code of Practice to you. Please consider adopting it - and let Flora locale and Plantlife know when you have done so. Let's go native!
