Project description
The Forestry Commission (England) has a programme of restoring hundreds of hectares of heathland on its estate and as part of its Open Habitats Policy . Key areas for heathland restoration include the New Forest (Hants/Dorset), Sherwood Forest (Notts), Cannock Chase (Staffs), Forest of Dean (Glos), North York Moors and various locations across East Anglia as well as Lincolnshire, the Peak District, Cromford Moor (Derbyshire) and in south Yorkshire.
