Project description
The aims of the MAGical Meadows Project were to conserve, connect, re-create and restore MAGnesian limestone grasslands in east Durham and Tyne & Wear. Magnesian limestone grassland is a restricted habitat, two-thirds of the UKs total resource, including the grassland type CG8, Blue Moor-grass – Small Scabious, is found in Durham & Tyne Wear. The project ended in 2007.
