The project landscaped the 1-km long flood bund at Osprey Quay, Portland at the eastern end of Chesil Beach, part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
Working with Dorset County Council Ecology Team, wildflower seed was collected from the adjacent Portland Shore Site of Special Scientific Interest. This was either directly sown or propagated, with plugs used for planting in the gabion-faced bund. A 200-metre linear strip of reedbed was also planted to provide an attractive edge and further wildlife habitat in keeping with this important location (a key landing point for bird migration).
